Like most inventions, illani was developed to address a problem. Designed and developed by professional illustrator and graphic recorder, Jimmy Patch, illani was inspired by an unsuccessful search for illustration equipment. This highlighted a need for a tablet support that provides strength, comfort and versatility.
After many trials, product tests and prototypes, illani was created; a timber workstation that provides a durable, functional and affordable workstation for all who want to create and design digitally.
Originally designed to support the work of illustrators and animators, our name combines those two arts; illani.

Graphic Gear (graphicgear.com.au) is the official reseller of Neuland® refillable markers for Australia and New Zealand, run by the team at Sketch Group.
As professional illustrators, facilitators, and graphic recorders, we know what makes a good marker. Like so many others, we fell in love with the Neuland® products, and use them on a daily basis. The only problem was that we didn't have an easy way to get our hands on them.
That's why we started Graphic Gear—so that we could get easier access to Neuland® markers, refills, and other accessories without waiting for weeks while products were shipped from Germany. And now you can too!
